Having finished boarding school on the East Coast, I decided to come back to California for college. While at UCSD, I worked many jobs, most notably serving as a teaching assistant for an Education Studies course and as a trainer, teacher, marketer and private tutor for Kaplan Premier tutoring services. I held two internships while in college. My first one was a reasearch analyst for the San Diego-based boutique investment banking firm, Gateway Partners. My second one was as an investment banking analyst intern at Goldman Sachs in the public sector and infrastructure group in San Francisco. After completing my internship at Goldman Sachs, I came back to UCSD to finish my last quarter, enabling me to earn a BS in Mathematics in December 2007. Afterwards, I took a few months off before starting as an analyst at the Australian-headquartered investment banking firm, Macquarie Capital, in New York.
